The Pelican Post – Take a closer look……

A quiet place to stay ……

The southern end of Anna Maria Island is only three blocks wide and the Pelican Post Motel is nestled right in the middle.  The beach is 150 paces west, the pier 150 paces east.

Studio's and Mini Apartments

At the Pelican Post you can choose a pleasant ground floor studio, mini apartment, or a suite and all look out into our tropical gardens.

The Cottage

Fancy something different?  Try going native and stay in The Cottage, an ‘old Florida’ style, traditional family suite (access is upstairs).

Our rates are affordable for everyone.  You can count on a nice, clean, comfortable room in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.  All our rooms are close to your allocated (free) parking space and convenient to the amenities close by.  If you need some time out, our private courtyard garden is quiet and away from it all.

We have a choice of great places to eat very close to the Pelican Post.  At the last count there were six restaurants within two blocks.  Choose from American, Italian or French cuisine, steaks, locally caught fish dishes, pizza and more – and that does not include our two ice cream parlours!

alfresco dining on the pier

Bradenton Beach Pier

Fancy taking it easy?  Try a stroll along our pier.  Sit a while and watch the world go by or maybe a little fishing?  At the Pelican Post we are two minutes walk from the historic Bradenton Beach pier.

While you are there, try Rotten Ralphs Restaurant.  Enjoy the Florida sunshine outside, over the water and a soak up the panaramic view over the bay towards the Sarasota skyline.

shopping on Bridge Street

Bridge Street runs west to east from the beach to the bay.  Only a block long, it can be found one block south of the Pelican Post.  Browse a selection of little gift shops, gallery or clothes boutiques and locally owned restaurants.  Our latest addition to Bridge Street is The Fishing Hole – miniature golf

This Sketch map shows our local area or, as we call it, our strolling area.  Leave the car and take a walk.  Buy an ice cream and stroll along the beach, or check out the shops and restaurants on Bridge Street and the pier

Bringing your boat?  We have numerous boat ramps very close to the Pelican Post.  All are free to use and offer ample (free) parking while you enjoy the bay or the ocean.

Let us know at booking and we will reserve you a parking space big enough for your truck and boat.

If you are arriving by boat, you can moor it for a small fee at the pier or the marina two blocks north of the motel.
